- virus virulent, virus yg membuat inangnya mengalami siklus litik
-virus temperate, yaitu virus yang materi genetiknya (DNA/RNA) bergabung menjadi satu dg inangnya
- siklus lisogenik tidak membunuh sel inang tapi genetik virus berlipat ganda
-siklus litik membunuh / merusak sel inang karena virus keluar dengan merusak sel inang
